On the Mend!!!

yep! after a long night last night and an equally long morning i packed up the troops and brought zach in to the clinic this afternoon- he was still hurting a lot and was throwing up so much he couldnt keep anything down- and he was supposed to be drinking a lot to flush everything out and so we werent making a lot of progress :( luckily his dr is one of the nicest guys in the world and he switched some of his meds around and zach is doing so much better now- i think he is actually going to be able to get some sleep tonight! he hasnt been throwing up and he has been drinking a lot and even ate food tonight :) sawyer was so well behaved at the clinic and has been good all day making it easier for me to take care of both my boys- i told him when he woke up that daddy didnt feel good so he needed to be especially good today- i guess he listens to his mama :) also im back to doing no dairy again- i wasnt sure if that was what made his poo look so icky but now im pretty convinced it is...im only cutting the major dairy products- milk, cheese, ice cream, ect. and not worrying about "hidden dairy" because then its possible that i might starve to death...you would be surprised if you start looking at labels how much stuff has milk listed- its usually listed in bold as an allergy alert after the ingredient list and its on seriously evvvvvvvvverything! try to eat a few days with no dairy products- trust me you will miss them- i especially will miss pistachio ice cream :( yummy. i will see you again in 10 months my friend. ( i might try to reintroduce dairy to my diet at 6 months- i guess babes grow out of this allergy pretty fast- then i would only have 4 months of no dairy! and yes- i plan to breastfeed to age one as recommended by the american academy of pediatrics- PLUS sawyer loves to nurse and i let him do things he loves :) its obvious by the fact that he has almost doubled in size in two months. and formula = expensive and i think it smells icky. my milk is free! thats like the best deal ever and i love a deal :)

  1. I hope Soy grows out of his milk thing because that sucks. Milk products are awesome! And good for you for nursing your baby until he is at least 1 because it's free and better for him!

  2. I love pistachio ice cream but now pistachios that get put in ice cream have salmonella. Call me if you need a sitter for Coopie McGee.

  3. I am glad you all are doing better today! I am sick today... boo :( and I think it's amazing that you even cut out the big dairy because I'm not sure I could. I LOVE cheese and milk and yogurt!

  4. It's also much easier to travel with a baby if you breastfeed, no lugging around all the bottle supplies! Good luck with cutting out dairy. I would die with out ice cream, I love it too much.
